Consumer Rights Statement

Effective from: 2026-04-25

At Built to Roam, we are committed to transparency, fairness and compliance with UK consumer law.

This page explains your legal rights when purchasing a subscription or digital service from us.

1. Your Legal Rights

If you are purchasing as a consumer (not a business), your rights are protected under UK consumer law, including:

  • The Consumer Rights Act 2015
  • The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013

These rights apply automatically and cannot be removed by our terms.

2. Your Right to Cancel

2.1 An advert can be removed at any time by you, for example to avoid unwanted responses but no refunds will be given unless you cancel your advertising package in line with agreed terms and conditions.

2.2 Please note that the digital advertising package provided by Built to Roam is a bespoke package, tailored to your requirements and is created instantaneously. By submitting your advert to us for publication, you are requesting Built to Roam to create and publish your advert within the statutory 14-day cancellation period afforded to consumers, and Built to Roam will have fully performed our service once your advert goes live on Built to Roam. This means that you will lose the right to cancel your package once the advert is live, and you will not be entitled to a refund if you wish to remove your advert.

2.3 By submitting your advert for publication, you acknowledge that your right to cancel your advertising package contract at no cost to you will be lost and you will not be entitled to a refund.

3. Subscriptions & Auto-Renewals

If you purchase a subscription:

  • The price and billing frequency will be clearly displayed before you pay.
  • You will be told whether your subscription renews automatically.
  • You can cancel at any time in line with our Subscription Terms and Conditions.

We do not use hidden fees or "drip pricing." The total price will be shown before checkout.

4. Free Trials

If we offer a free trial:

  • You will be clearly told how long the trial lasts.
  • You will be told what happens when it ends.
  • You can cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.

If payment details are taken at sign-up, this will be clearly explained before you confirm.

5. Digital Services & Content

5.1 Under UK law, digital services must:

  • Be provided with reasonable care and skill;
  • Match their description; and
  • Be fit for purpose.

If a digital service we provide does not meet these standards, you may be entitled to:

  • A repeat performance (where possible), or
  • A price reduction (which may include a refund).

6. Fair Contract Terms

Under UK law:

  • Our terms must be fair and transparent;
  • Key information (price, renewal, cancellation) must be clear before you commit; and
  • We cannot rely on hidden or misleading clauses.

If a term is found to be unfair under consumer law, it will not be binding on you.

7. How to Cancel
